XBITS, the XML Book Industry Transaction Standards group (www.xmlbits.org), which is affiliated with IDEAlliance and papiNet, is designing publishing/print-specific supply chain messages such as invoice, delivery, specifications, and status. Tambora is the purchase order XML message distribution process initiated by Pearson Education and developed by Zenplex. These organizations are developing the new XML messages, with the backing of a significant part of the Book Manufacturing Industry.
